How to Use Overdrive

Overdrive boosts the Combo Rate by 150% and possibly more.

Raising your Combo Rate to 150% or beyond will trigger Overdrive. Overdrive will undoubtedly happen if your Combo Rate is at 200% or more.

Moreover, as your Combo Rate increases, so will the number of party members who can take part in Overdrive.

Effects of Overdrive

Party members who participate in the Overdrive will be able to launch another attack. In the event that the BP cost is lower than the amount used for the coordinated attack, the Tech chosen during Overdrive will be automatically deployed.

Note that when in Overdrive, characters are unable to guard or parry.

Chaining powerful Techs together will deal more damage to enemies.

Overdrive will be more powerful the more Techs you chain together.

You can effectively cause tremendous damage to your enemies if you are able to coordinate with more teammates. Doing this will allow you to use powerful attacks that cost high BP.

The Techs that used up BP in the previous turn are excellent choices for chaining using Overdrive because it is simpler to link them with other strong attacks that can produce massive damage.

There are Techs that are not eligible to be linked through Overdrive.

The Techs that cannot be linked through Overdrive are as follows:

• Reserve Techs
• Unlinkable Techs
• Blood Techs

How to Use Showstopper

Showstopper can be activated if the allies are two squares or more away on the timeline.

The Showstopper can be used when your allies are two squares away on the timeline from the character that you wish to activate the Showstopper. The timeline can be seen at the bottom of the screen.

Showstopper won't work if you are too near the edge and are only one square away, or if there are teammates within two squares of you.

As such, if you wish to activate the Showstopper, consider planning ahead and be cautious with your characters' turns.

Effects of Showstopper

The character that activated the Showstopper will launch a solo coordinated attack employing a variety of Techs and skills.

Your existing BP+1 is the amount of BP that can be put to use while the Showstopper is active. This ends if all the character's BP is consumed.

Keep in mind that regardless of BP, Techs and skills that were used in the final phase of Showstopper will activate.

There are Techs that cannot be used during Showstopper.

The Techs that cannot be used during Showstopper are as follows:

• Blood Techs

Characters that activate Showstopper can only launch continuous attacks using their BP and the BP+1 bonus.

Hence, it is illogical if you never had any BP to begin with.

To maximize the Showstopper's benefits, limit your actions and assign your party members to merely defend during battle.
